How do you think heaven will be like?
I was thinking something along the lines that the dictionary defines.
"Heaven: An eternal state of communion with God; everlasting bliss."
The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition Copyright © 2004
Then I studied Matthew 25:14-30.
Jesus gives a parable in which 3 servants are given talents, Greek money (where 1 talent = 6,000 days wages), to manage. The first is given 5 talents ($1,000,000). The second is given 2 talents ($500,000). The third is given 1 talent($200,000). Each according to their ability. Each given an incredible amount.
Servant One and servant Two are faithful managers. The master says, "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!"
What's that?
On Earth, faithful with a FEW things (like a half a million to a million dollars).
In Heaven, responsible for MANY things (what could that be?) and a heavenly party.
